Moxli Services - Fees

My hourly rate is $45/hr. That’s right $45!

All pricing is done on a project-by-project basis. If you would like a FREE estimate on how much it would cost to set up a website, please contact me and I'll treat you to a nice cup of coffee while we discuss your new web design.

To give you some idea, a web design project can cost anywhere from $500 to $3,000, depending on the complexity of the site. Most of the Moxli clients fall in the $1,000 range. In addition, a website can take anywhere from one to three months to create.

For ongoing content management, the hourly rate is the same. I bill by the quarter hour, which means a minimum charge of $8.75 each time you ask me to touch your website. On the plus side…I’m fast. Very fast. Typical text changes rarely take me more 15 minutes (usually around five, but let’s keep that between you and me, OK?).

Other Costs

Domain name registration and web hosting – Typically, you can expect to pay about $100 for initial set up and space on a server and then $100 each year thereafter.

Premium Search Engine Submission – Some search engines charge for premium services – like ensuring your sites get listed where, and on what search criteria, etc. The cost for this can be substantial, depending how much you want to do. Premium search engine submission is outside of the regular I do for each website (which are free to submit).

Scope-creep – this can happen when the original scope of the project (say, six pages, with an existing logo and my client provides the content) to my client requiring more services (say now 10 pages with content needing editing). If the scope changes from the original estimate, then I will let you know the monetary and time impact.

I rarely have call to do server-side web and database development, but if you need it, let me know. I will either work on it myself or contract it out to someone I trust. Developers usually cost more, but I know a few who are worth it. Estimates will, of course, be provided.
