Moxli Portfolio - Case StudiesThe Chaos CornerSituation: Holly had begun to write a weekly column, sending it out first to friends and then, as more people asked for it, a wider audience. After several months of column writing, she wanted to be able to present her work professionally with the goal of getting published. To save money, this technical wiz wanted to be able to update the site herself with her weekly articles.Solution: I created a website that highlighted her articles as well as gave her a logo. By incorporating these two together, a brand was established that was easily recognizable by her readers and future publishers. In addition, all code was commented and a template created so that Holly could update the information on her own. Result: Within weeks of publishing the site, Holly was picked up by the local paper to do a bi-weekly column. The paper has chosen to include her easily recognizable logo. In addition, Holly now updates her site on her own, with only occasional phone calls to Moxli for backup.
Creative TarotSituation: Carrie’s Creative Tarot website was very pretty, but with small type, minimal content, and an amateur feel; she didn’t feel it represented the spirit of her work. In addition, after being featured by a national self-help book writer, she felt her website was not attracting the customers she most wanted to work with.Solution: By working closely with Carrie and finding out what she was passionate about, I was able to incorporate Carrie’s artwork and spirit of serenity and grace, while increasing the amount of information on the site. Her site now conveys a feeling of warmth and welcome, which attracts clientele with the same sense of well being. Her artwork on the site has also attracted other artists to her, and in working with these clients, helped to deepen her own creativity.Result: The response to the site, says Carrie, has been overwhelming. Several new clients have come on board, and everyone can find information easily. The next step will be to include an online calendar of events as Carrie’s classes take off.
